The Learning Den is offering Supplemental Review Sessions for Dr. Stephanie McCartney’s Introduction to Chemistry (AS.030.101 (03)) course. There may be additional supplemental review sessions for other courses in the future.
What is Supplemental Review?
Supplemental Review Sessions (SRS) are peer-led learning and study sessions are designed to review course content. SRS Leaders have previously taken the course and will create sessions based directly on the course material. Additionally, you can visit SRS Leaders during their office hours for more individualized support.
For more information on Supplemental Review Sessions, please email Joseph Cunningham at [email protected].
Is Supplemental Review right for me?
We provide several support options for Chem 101, including PILOT, Drop-in Tutoring, and Personalized Tutoring. For students who prefer a structured and interactive learning experience, Supplemental Instruction is an excellent choice. Unlike PILOT, which focuses on problem sets, SRS emphasizes activity-based learning. Additionally, because your SRS leaders often attend class with you, they can tailor their sessions to align closely with what’s happening in the classroom.
How do I join an SRS session?
We encourage you to register for SRS Sessions and Office Hours through Penji.
By registering, you’ll gain access to online office hours and receive reminders about SRS sessions. However, registration is not required—you are welcome to drop in for an in-person SRS session whenever they are held. There’s no commitment to SRS; you can attend as many or as few sessions as you like.
